Projects in jewelry design

The following images were part of the Snapshot workshop with jewelry designer Jiro Kamata, which took place on July 2007.

Were were to walk around the city of Hanau am Main taking snapshots, spontaneously inspired photographs, of anything which suddenly caught our eye. These shots would become the source material from which to seek inspiration and ideas.

Composition, lighting, color were not to be taken attention to.
Coincidence should be the guiding principle.

Not an easy task.

With this as staring material, we were free to fish for concepts and ideas, for materials, colors, qualities, meanings....

Materials: bicycle inner tubes, red thread, lipstick
